Thank You to Our Donors
As we bid farewell to 2013, we at the Conservation Lands Foundation want to express our gratitude to our many supporters. This was a banner year for the Conservation Lands Foundation and we could not have done it without your partnership.
Together, we have taken on numerous new challenges and shared many accomplishments, including:
- President Obama expanded the National Conservation Lands by 243,000 acres, protecting Washington’s iconic San Juan Islands and New Mexico’s Rio Grande del Norte National Monuments.
- Secretary of the interior Ken Salazar safeguarded 11 million acres of world-class wildlife habitat in Alaska’s western Arctic.
- Youth corps, community volunteers and corporations teamed up to build trails, remove fences and restore vital habitat.
- The Bureau of Land Management enacted strong policies to conserve the 28 million acres of outstanding lands, rivers and trails that make up our National Conservation Lands.
These achievements were made possible by our generous donors and conservation partners. Thank you.
We look forward to many shared victories and fun-filled adventures in the National Conservation Lands in 2014. Onward!
