About the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area

Nevada’s first National Conservation Area, Red Rock Canyon is just 17 miles west of the Las Vegas strip. It is visited my more than 1 million people each year. Its nearly 200,000 acres provide a multitude of recreational opportunities such as world-class rock climbing, mountain biking and horseback riding in a spectacular backdrop of sandstone cliffs, limestone mountains and open desert.
