Arizona Groups Gather in Phoenix

About 20 folks from 7 groups in Arizona gathered yesterday at the Desert Botanical Garden of Phoenix for a day-long session of networking.  They discussed a broad array of issues from maintaining an effective web presence to the mundane but important directors and officers  and volunteer liability insurance.  They also had a roundtable discussion on National Conservation Lands issues in Arizona with state National Conservation Lands lead Ken Mahoney. In addition to discussing how they could better work together, the groups will continue to meet regularly and will investigate how they might share some organizational costs.

Groups in the Friends Grassroots Network across the country are increasingly working together on issues that affect National Conservation Lands and creating strong community voices for the places they care about. Well done, Arizonans!
